What You Will Learn

By the end of this course, students will understand what artificial intelligence is and how it is used in everyday technologies such as recommendations, automation, and decision-making systems. They will learn how AI differs from traditional programming and how machines learn from data. Students will explore core AI concepts including algorithms, machine learning, pattern recognition, and ethical considerations. Lessons focus on building intuition through real-world examples rather than heavy math or coding. Classes are structured using short explanations, visual slides, guided discussions, and interactive activities that encourage critical thinking. By the end of the course, students will be able to explain how AI systems work, recognize their limitations, and thoughtfully evaluate the role of artificial intelligence in society.

Syllabus

What Is Artificial Intelligence?

Students are introduced to artificial intelligence, what it is, and what it is not. We discuss everyday examples of AI, how AI differs from traditional programming, and where students encounter AI in daily life.

How Computers Make Decisions

This lesson explores how computers follow rules and make decisions using logic. Students learn about algorithms, step-by-step instructions, and how decision-making systems work without human judgment.
