We’ll break down the rubric in a simple way and focus on what earns points consistently. Students will practice writing thesis statements and topic sentences that set up a clear line of reasoning.
Students will learn how to identify purpose, audience, and rhetorical situation quickly. We’ll practice analyzing strategies (tone, diction, syntax, appeals) and writing commentary that explains the “why.”
